What is the best fertiliser to use. I read that someone had used Wally's tomato fert & had huge strawberries So would Tomato mix be ok to plant my straw berries in?

I filled my garden with compost and manure. I dose it with ash (potash) and as I have an orange tree there too, citrus fertiliser now and then. Don't be hung up on size. flavour is what you are after.

They don't need much soil depth, so it's not a bad suggestion. It would need to be good rich soil with plenty of water retention, though.

like your flowers they need regular fertilising - especially when fruiting.
