Kale plants

smallwoods, Jan 2, 10:47pm
Just transferred 8 kale plants yesterday afternoon, good healthy little plants.
Checked this morning, all leaves stripped!
No sign of snail trails in the new bed?
Older plants in the next bed are fine?
Happened last month as well, so I thought I'd keep an eye on these.

Vegans! They strike at night.

In a growing house, so shouldn't be.

Have a sign up, " open season" on them. lol

Son has come back from Uni saying he is vegetarian now.

Will put a bell on his bedroom door, lol.

Cattle.
That's what it is used for. Well was until the food fashionistas got hold of it.

Use it in a blend most days.
As above, kale chips are great.

They don't seem to worry the ones outside.
This has just started happening, been growing them a couple of years now.
Normally plant 6-8 a month to keep supply up.

Try googling Springtail and see if he fits the bill. Another one to be aware of
is nysius but he tends to ring bark the stem more so.

On the hunt for springtails now, cheers.
I try not to spray, so will set traps and see.
