I have to get someone to weed-eat and spray overgrown grass and weeds in my garden, using my gear. What's the going rate. I don't want to underpay - but neither do I want to do the opposite. the person won't give me a quote, but says. "You pay me what it's worth". HELP!

If it's just a cash job, I'd pay $20 /hour. In-trade people around here charge $40, using their own equipment and having to pay tax etc. If you thought it was going to take them up to half a day you could offer $100 all-up.

I'm sure there are some professional gardeners who belong to the following facebook groups. They may give you an idea.
Thanks folks. It took him just over 3 hours. Going to pay him $80 . It was worth every penny to me
