Is it normal for plumbers not to crimp all joins?

Had some work done and then it leaked into the ceiling. I would have thought this was Plumbling 101. But plumber said it was normal not to always crimp. Yeah right?

What sort of pipe?
Any chance of a pic?

Nope. All crimp connections need to be crimped, or surprise, they leak.

Probably is normal for some crap workman to forget some crimps, but it is hardly rocket science to inspect your work before turning on, so i suggest changing plumbers in future.

Yes changing plumbers! First and last time used this plumber. Sorry no photo it's now crimped and in ceiling.

All joints have to be crimped. I would think the plumber would test the system and an uncrimped joint should be immediately obvious.

Why even say that. (Report him.)
The OP has given no real information, and like most other people in here cant give a photo.
So what do we all really know about this job and the plumber and the outcome. Lets face it Nothing much. One-sided, with no real information.

We should Waterboard the plumber with 10'000 drops in a row over days lmao
