Again our tree is affected, does anyone have a tree that has good Elephant Heart plums that aren't affected? We did the usual copper spray etc. If we cut it down and start anew could just be wasting our time. Any ideas?

You have to keep at the spraying. Three times per year. The percentage of Bladder Plum decreased each year on my Tree.

You need to prevent with copper in winter & early spring prior to bud burst. No point in spraying now. If you cut it down, the disease spores would be harboured in the soil & near environment, so wouldn't be an instant fix.

Thanks for the info. -really must do more Copper sprays next year, it is such a shame to see them failing each year and end up with about 4 or 5 plums at maturity.
