I am thinking of buying a second hand dryer

F & P ED56 auto sensing and is five years old. Would you buy or buy new! Any thoughts apriciated as I haven't bought one for twenty years and that one has finally had it!

Buy new. They're cheap as chips now and you have a guarantee. As you say yours lasted 20 years so why not get one to last the same without making it a lottery on a pre-owned one.

My F & P dryer is 42 years old and is still going good.

My dryer is 34 this year. I've had a second hand one, not as old, blew it up (my fault not the dryers).I'd certainly buy used.

ok thanks people they do seem to keep on going don't they.
Just wondering though if the new computerised ones have the same durability.

Anyone had experience of the computerised models!
