They are my favourite veg. Many people think they are gross because they have only ever tasted them when they are older and tougher with that extra layer of skin. Fresh and young from the garden are just amazing!

they are used as a dried lentil in some countries. better than overcooked yuck

My neighbour grows them and I get the lot. He and his wife can't stand them. He just grows stuff for something to do. So I've been living on them for a month now - they have just finished ! I love them, but haven't met anyone else who will eat them !
