Organic spray. will it hurt ladybugs?

just noticed that theres a squillion ahpids eating my cucumber flowers and the dying.i wil make a garlic spray in a bit but will this hurt the ladybugs!
or any other ideas that will get rid of them but nothing else.

Yes, we call them ladybirds . I think 'ladybug' is an Americanism.

Yes it will. Insecticide that kills one insect will of course affect others.
No such thing as selective insecticides.

Well not quite right. Some sprays kill on contact, others thru ingesting the poison.
Pyrethrum is sprayed at dusk, as it is broken down by sunlight, making it safe for insects when the sun next comes up. The likes of bees aren't out at night. But where do ladybirds go at night!
