Underlay on concrete floor - corrigated u/lay OK?

Does anyone know if flat foam underlay have to be used on concrete floor or is the corrugated type OK! Thanks.

Both are ok to use. My preference on a concrete floor is the corrugated types because they create an air space in between. The choice in many cases comes down to price.

Just as a recommendation, and this is just incase you havent thought of it.

I would recommend getting sealant painted on your concrete floor first as it stops any raising damp, or coldness leaching up. Our 1940s house has concrete basement bedroom and laundry areas, the laundry floor has been done up (sealed first then lino) but the bedroom hasnt. Bedroom= freezing. When the daughter shifts out and takes all her rubbish with her (lol) we will rip up the carpet and paint the fibreglass type sealant on the floor, then put underlay and carpet on top.
