Wallpaper stripping, the easiest way to remove wallpaper from bathroom top

What's the easiest way to remove wallpaper from bathroom, top layer comes off ok but left is the backing paper of the wallpaper, beigy colour. thanks also am considering replaceing paper with a paint, what the best paint to use in a steamy bathroom appreciate any ideas

Wet it- spraybottle, towels on the floor, repeat spraying until saturated, then it comes off easy.

we bought a wall paper steamer from Bunnings, about $100, saved hours of work, and cheaper than hiring one

Just gave our bathroom a tidy up. Removed most of 3 layers of wallpaper. Friend is a gib stopper. Suggested to paint the walls initially with primer/sealer. Then she came & skim coated the walls as we coudn't get off all of the old paper. She said alot of people are putting wallpaper in their bathrooms in new homes. They are good quality vinyl papers & should last around 10 years if walls are prepared properly.
