That's all I use. I spread a layer of it over leaves or garden rubbish & lawn clippings. It's a natural fertiliser & helps promote vegetation breakdown & encourages worms. I keep using it throughout my heap till it's full.

NOT so according to Tui, Yates, and Nitrosol who all state that its made from sheep meatworks wast including full blood and bone dust. 'Oceanic' or 'organic' variety is made from fish processing waste, so that grazing stock dont eat animal sourced protein.

Many years ago I made the growing mix for a seedling nursery. First a thin layer of stable manure (Horse poo and shavings) sprinkled with a handful of dried blood then filled with seed mix. This was called 'black magic'.
