yes -comes as a 2 pot mix - paint & hardener, go to any paint or pool shop and it is expensive

Vitually any paint system will work depending on what you are expecting from it. The main thing is to create a decent key which requires a coarser grade of sandpaper than you would normally be using due to the hardness of the gelcoat and the resistance to solvents. If you're painting a boat then any of the two pack systems will be ok after a thorough sand with 240 grit.

I painted the transom of my fibreglass dinghy with waterborne enamel years ago and it still looks good.
