I have beef steak variety but not as many fruit as other tom growers are mentioning. Would that be because they are so big they dont grow as many fruit! My staking was not adequate for these big heavy things so they are all over the place and the plants look awfully old and had it despite my pruning. i did plant very early.

Mine aregoing really wel, I have 2 cherry in large pots, use seasolto feed, some yellow leavesbut brilliant fruit, heaps of it, unblemished and sweet as.Another money maker just coming good now.Toms love very thorough watering, and we did spray with copper. Also self seeded ones have been full of fruit, best year for toms for me after a bad start.

Too late now.but when planting out.pop into the hole a mixture of 1 tbspn milk powder and 1 tbspn of potassium.mix it through the soil under the roots.real boost.

Late season! I had 2 in ages ago, they are coming to the end now, had loads and loads.
Husband then put 2 in his patch, then another 2 a couple of weeks after that. His have just started ripening in the last couple of weeks. Which is good, a steady supply rather than all of them at once.

How does the fruit grow small if it has not been pollinated!
I just give the flowers a quick flick with my finger and so far all flowers that are ready have fruit.

dont think it was that, i thought yellowing leaves was lack of water.

Plenty of yellow flowers but no fruit. The few tomatoes I do have are green and mean.Very little blight or fungus on the leaves either.Buggered if I know.

Too much water is as bad as not enough.
