My panels on the roof have turned a lovely yellow. I understand rain will not wash the pollen off. How have others dealt with this problem. And who can I get to do the job please? Will need a ladder to reach some of the panels. Many thanks.

Get yourself a house wash brush - extend it out turn on the water and give them a wash
No need for expensive steel framework either. We did an installation mounted on 1/4 round posts and timber framing. There's a photo of it on our website in the Blog section. Won't put up a link to that as TM will probably bleat.

Even solar panels on campervans need cleaning - brush on a diluted dishwash solution and then rinse with clean water, A soft brush with a long handle is required!

One good sized bird dropping will reduce panel output by up to 50%
