just wondering need to put down some stones on grass as a parking area and thinking turning old bread baskets upside down and filling with stones to contain them,would that work same principle as that stuff in mitre 10

I wouldn't. Stones are a pita, they'll end up all over the rest of the lawn, wreck the mower, you track them inside. We had gravel when we bought. now we have asphalt.

cheers yes i have asphalt but just need a bit more room behind my ute but dont want to be driving on stones and basically pushing them into ground constantly and theres that plastic mat stuff from mitre 10 which would contain your stone and think bread trays do same job

I would think that the bread tray plastic would go all brittle and break exposed to the sun / uv! The purpose made mitre 10 stuff will be made from uv stablized plastic.
