Well so far I've put three different lots of seed in water as a trial and many of them have sprouted! Really exciting, however the writing of the names of them have come off their containers so I've no idea which is which! Time, no douobt, will tell. Ten days ago I sowed seeds from the same varieties into potting mix/vermiculite to try them out. Nothing thus far, but I'm hopeful. I have properly labelled them, so fingers crossed!

Has anyone tried to do this? I have a couple of seed heads coming along on their stems still. Am keen to know if any of you have had success. Many thanks.

Yes its quite easy, you might get some interesting new colours when they finally get big enough to flower for you.

beautiful, and so rewarding if you've grown from seed yourself.
