Repairing a concrete pond

sally63, Apr 24, 11:56am
I have a sold hand made concrete fish pond and unfortunately when the big tree cutting machine came in, he clipped the side and it has a crack all the way though. Water is slowly seeping out. What would be the best and most easy way to repair it? I will let it drain and clean it out. then what? I have moved the fish to a trough in the meantime

If you know that it has reinforcing in it, then it isnt going to move much, so a patch up with expocrete or similar may work. Unfortunately a lot of older ornamental type ponds h ave little or no reinforcing, which means that any patch will not stay put.
I suggest a google search and looking at several repair solutions so that you can select the one most appropriate to your particular situation.

Good Luck!

https://nwedible.com/can-you-seal-a-pond-with-clay-kitty-litter/ Would this be an option? Or simply draining & putting a liner over the concrete?

Just find a water immersible silicon and fill the gap.

I have just repaired my concrete water tank with this. Think it was $80 for a 5kg pail, easy to use
