https://worldofsucculents.com/agave-attenuata-fox-tail-lions-tail-swans-neck/http://www.cacti.co.nz/library/agave-attenuata/. These are awesome plants and I have lots to give away free- all sizes. Do you know a charity or someone who would pot them up to sell. My question is how do I get the root bound ones out of their pots, not plastic pots. The roots are like a tightly wrapped ball of string in the pot. Impossible to soak as they are large pots. What would I use to cut through the root ball? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

I use a short pruning saw to cut through roots. Having said that the pruning saw is short because the end has snapped off. You can just cut them off at soil level and then deal with the root removal from the pot when the plant is no longer attached. People around our area just put the plants on the side of the road for free, most often they are cut off ones which are easy to grow.

massing up to 1.5 m tall and up to 3 m wide. Individual rosettes may reach 1.2 m wide!

Put them out on roadside and all went.
