No more little gardens from New World

I'm a bit disappointed but I managed to save pumpkin, cucumber, tomato, and corn seeds so I'm all set to start again this season. The pumpkins made wonderful soup which I popped into the freezer and lasted all winter.

I know its a giveaway (after spending multiple amounts of money) but really, buying or being given a few seeds from a friend or gardener is just as exciting and that's the way kids can be encouraged too.

strathview forget about any saved corn seed, they will be F1 seed grown corn and will sprout but won’t produce corn cobs.

Thats ok I will give it a go anyway because I have some critters that will happily eat the green stalks if I don't get a crop of cobs. If I get a chop of cobs it will be a bonus.

Strathview-if you like the little pots, head to the Warehouse. In the garden-section you can buy a bag of discs for seed-raising. You put the discs in a tray, make sure the little indentation is uppermost, and add water. The discs 'grow' into little pots and open at the top to put seeds into. Just keep them damp in the tray then plant the 'pots' when the plants are ready. I think there are 90 discs for about $20.
