Not sure where to ask so I'll try here. As you know, running a dehumidifier requires little or no air coming into the house from the outside. I've noticed that the aluminium window sills have weep holes, for draining out condensation. But I thought, if dehumidifiers are supposed to remove all condensation, then I might as well block these weep holes? Perhaps just temporarily, during the winter. Any of you have done this? Thanks.

i put air plugs in mine for noise control (long story)but they still wick and drain.

the weep holes are also for the rain that gets past the window seal. do not block them.

Dehumidifiers remove some moisture, not all condensation.
Condensation is the process where moisture in the air condenses on colder surfaces, notably your windows. On single glazing you will often get it, even in a fairly dry home given air always has some water in it.
If you have heavy condensation you are best to use a rubber squeegee to wipe the condensate off the window and out through the drain holes. Prevents it evaporating back into the home.
Air flow through those holes is negligible and the general leakage around window seals etc will be much more.

Thanks for your replies. I won't block the holes.
