I have got window in our kitchen that returns around the corner. There is a fixed pane on both sides of the Mitre. I have got a leak that has rotted out the window sill and I suspect that the mitre under the glazing bead is leaking. There is no sign of any water coming down the glass and the seal on the glass corner is all good I was planing on removing the glazing bead and re- sealing the mitre. How do I remove the glazing bead? From the top or the bottom of the bead. I am also interested in any advice as to the best way to fix der bloomin leak. Thanks for you help

Al.windows often leak in the corners when the silicone breaks down or moves with expansion and contraction of the metal.I have fixed my own easily enough by taking out the glazing beads, rubber gasket and glass so I get the sealant right into the corners,I use Ados Galvseal which sticks to the al. as some silicones peel off in time. Being a corner window will be more difficult and you may have to get the "man" to take it out unless you have some usefull mates and suction pads. Best of luck.
