Liquid manure

Just watered my garden with it and it STINKS badly. The plants love it but that smell is awful. Is it too strong or too fresh?

may be too fresh did you make last year ?

It will calm down in a day or two.

The reason for the awful smell must have been a dead fish I had in there. Took it out and buried it. That liquid manure does smell but not usually as bad. Couple of very smelly days they were, but ok now.
WARNING Don't put fish in any liquid manure.

You can dilute it a bit more to spray on, but a strong (fishy?) smell does mean your fertiliser is very rich.
It'll fade in a day or so - especially if you water the plants normally with a hose right afterwards, or the next day. Washes off most of the fertiliser off the leaves and into the soil, and it'll break down fast. Don't get any on your clothes thought!

EDIT: If you have fish bits/guts in the fertiliser. It really boosts your plants. Try diluting it a bit more and water in well. A shame not to include the fish in your fertiliser if you have it.
