Hi experts, I have seen a standard rose called mum in a million. Will that go ok in a large pot (as a gift) or is it better in a garden situation. If the pot is ok, will it do ok in a south facing situation with not so much sun? I'm thinking probably not? Thanks in advance

Check with a local nursery or grower? some fo OK in pots, others have a bigger root system

Ideally it would be better straight in the ground or make sure it gets adequate watering during the growing months. Also they do prefer morning to midday sun - shade is better for later in the day. I think it would flower in a sunnier spot.

It will do far better in the ground, they don't like the shade . it may tolerate it but it wont have nice healthy growth
