Sprinkle Derris Dust for control when you find the eggs or caterpillars on brassica crops.
Edited to add Plant brassicas in Autumn, for use in early spring.

Apparently they don't like leeks , so I left a few in my vege garden for white butterfly

I've got a large raised garden and have planted marigolds around the border - never had a problem with white butterflies - they hate them apparently.

thanks sophia40 that's it marigolds, marigolds going in all over my garden next weekend and a few leeks if i can find some for good measure that derist dust crap didnt work for me last year
