My Woodsman fire has become very noisy, making loud ticking/cracking noises all the time. It didnt used to do this. Is there anything I can do to stop it?

Are you sure the chimney is not on fire ? shut down the damper and see if it stops.

It does it all the time. Sometimes it'll start doing it in the middle of the night, which is very annoying. It must be as it heats up and cools down, I suppose. It has some bolts on it so I will let it go out later and try tightening all of them, maybe that will help.

It may be due to the flue moving up and down as it expands and contracts depending on the temperature of the flue gases. Mine does that.
