have a heatpump in lounge but rest of house is cold. Can you use a heat transfer system to take warm air to bedrooms or alternatives? Too draughty to leave door open to hallway from lounge.

where are the drafts coming from
naturally cold air from the passage will flow into the room when you first open the door but that soon passes, and even more will come in if you leave bedroom or other doors in the passage open

experiment a little, open the passage door at midday and leave it open all evening
I bet you find the passage will be lovely and warm by early evening

your heatpump is not a blast furnace, it will not heat the bigger area in 2 minutes - but it will heat it if given time to

Heat transfer only works for fires, not heat pumps, it would just cause your heatpump to overwork, they are designed to heat the space they are in, not the whole house. (Except for a ducted system, of course). Get panel heaters for the other rooms.

Dehumidifier may be the answer. by removing moisture will heat the room.

we use a flat panel eco heater in the bedroom .Leave the doors open and have the heat pump on 24/7 during winter months that way your house never gets cold cheapest way to run heat pump. You can drop the temperture to18 at night and during the day when not home and turn it up when home

the problem with that is the poor heat pump gets overworked.
as mentioned above they are sized for the room they are in, not to heat the whole house. unless of course you splashed out and got one 4 times to big.

Cheapest way to run the heat pump is not to leave it going when you are not there. That is why they have timers.

replace your heatpump with a ducted system. it blows hot air into every room and then the air intakes are in the hall. we have one in our place and it is the best. the whole house is the same temp. no hot lounge/cold bedrooms like most places that have one (or two) heatpumps. some people put a second heatpump in the hall but whats the point in that? the hall is hot and your bedrooms will be freezing as soon as you close your bedroom door.

you prob should look at something like a fujitsu sleep pump which is a smaller ducted system to heat the bedrooms
