It looks amazing Smiler. love the windows.
I'm gathering things little by little as I find them to create a special garden shed too, all using recycled materials. so far have the flooring, one side and the back, tiles for the front step. I'm going to make the building high enough off the ground that a verandah area at the front is the right height to sit on and survey my garden. :-)
So many wonderful ideas. and some wonderfully quirky ones too. will include some of both when I build the shed :-)

Yes lots, thank you for asking!

In no particular order I've laid the veranda decking and made some tricky cuts around the veranda poles for it to fit and looking nicely finished. I've put up spouting (down pipe and wine barrel collection still to do) laid the flooring, panelled the outside of the shed and installed the painted ceiling panels. Installed a door and coloured glass side panels from a house pre Napier earthquake. All using a circular saw, chop saw and my trusty Bosch multitool :)

Leccytrician has run wiring for power and lights.

Shed is now weather tight, the 2 gables end were bugga's, up and down the ladder, measuring, cutting and swearing over the panelling. This week I managed to get the rest of the weights for the sash windows, so although the bottom sashes are gently nailed in place to stop the rain getting in, I will take them out, replace the sash cord and re-weight them, so there's the long weekend gone lol!

Then I can start with the wall insulation and interior panelling. It's a gorgeous grooved ply like the outside but with a lovely grain on it, which will show when I lightly stain or lime wash it.

This has all taken a lot longer than expected because I've been installing a small milking shed as well! Got the very basic but solid as, framework secondhand and hi ab'd it in. It was an old long wood store from a wood yard. I've jacked it up on piles, made a cow and calf bail and a hay store with flooring out of the rest. All this in between work, housework and general life. As the calves are due early next month, this has taken priority over my garden shed *sob* (not really)

The guys down at the local wood yard have been absolute stars, so helpful and patient. They don't run and hide when they see me coming either, which is a bonus. I went in to price up for the milking shed, which is when they offering me the wood store building. Has saved time and effort.

So that's where I'm up too now, piccies to follow.

That verandah sounds fab, Julie. You'll need a rocking chair and a table for the wine/tea/ribena and can enjoy looking out over all your hard work.

It does take time to gather all the components together, mine has been at least four years of slowly gathering, hoarding and planning in my head. But it is so rewarding. Enjoy your shed build!
