into NZ? Worldwide? Will they be seized by Customs? Looking at some amazing tomatoes on E bay and also can be sent free postage from Hong Kong & China.

NO. Mine were seized when I declared/presented them upon arrival.
Check with MPI first as many are prohibited = they can carry diseases etc.

Commercially packed and sealed
Have the full botanical name written on the packet

I have done it a few times. Normally I get a note saying what is the scientific name of the seeds, then they forward it.

What is it with some tomato growers. Some of them have 30 varieties growing for their personal use - they just can't help themselves. Addicts - there are a few on the nz veggie gardeners facebook page. lol

It depends entirely on the seeds. Strawberries are not allowed even if in sealed packets.
