They are increasing like mad, and need to be gone. Has anyone had any luck removing them. I am a bit concerned about using weed killer, as it might kill my waterlillies. Because the pond (which has running water), has so much silt in it, it is difficult to get in and pull it out.

this worked for me years ago, an inflatable dingy, sponge and Roundup, float out to the bulrushes and wipe the leaves (wear gloves) with straight Roundup. This late in the season you'll probably get some regrowth next spring but just keep repeating until all gone
