Diseases rose

I have a Reine de Violettes rose which is supposed to be hardy, however for the last two years its had aphids and whitefly which I haven't been able to get rid of. should I dig it out and put something else in or persevere. It's in a sunny sheltered position and is well looked after in terms of feeding, spraying and watering but am fed up with it. If I start again can someone recommend a disease resistant climber!

I find that all my roses get aphids regardless of their hardiness (or lack of).I have stopped spraying as we have bees although I do flick the aphids off the newer shoots every time I walk past.I have not found them to be too detrimental to the roses despite the lack of spray.White fly is a right pain to get rid off as it needs spraying regularly to break the life cycle (every 3 days).

For aphids: I have had them on bsuhes, but this is what I was told: To introduce lady bugs into your garden, or dust them with simple kitchen flour, or spray them with a diluted spray of dishwashing detergent and water. I did the latter and it helped.Good luck. (I have stopped "nuking" all the pests in my yard and try to welcome the birds, butterflies, to EAT them. What do quail eat? I have lots of them, too.
