Always been a fairly well built under rated saw. Probably ya best price and most reputable dealer here
Shindaiwa 352s, bit smaller. Bought it on its second tank of gas from new for $15 when the twat owner straight gassed it. Cost me $180 for genuine Shindaiwa cylinder, piston and rings, easy job. Really, really gutsy and willing small saw, great build quality. Much better quality than the Stihl and Husky offerings of that size which are chinese made or orange Poulan saws in the Husky case. I'd say go for it, top quality gear.

Shindaiwa make decent gear.
It likely doesn't rate quite as good as the top of the line Stihl or Husky, but they cost significantly less, and they are better than the "homeowner" grade saws from either.
It's one of the "other decent brands" of chainsaw you can buy.

It's not the size of the saw. Stihl sell the "Pro Grade" MS261 that's a similar size. It's a brilliant little saw, but costs a heap more than that Shindaiwa. Comparing the Shindaiwa to a similar price Stihl though, I agree, it's a good deal. It's better than any Stihl or Husky you can buy for that price at least.
