What could I put in my raised beds now (other than green manure - mustard)?

If it's a good sunny and sheltered place, you could put brassica seedlings and silver beet. Mine don't grow much at all but put on a big spurt towards end of winter.

And if you mulch around them well, with newspaper then peastraw or similar, you'll prevent their roots from freezing and keep the weeds down too.

You could sow broad beans next month if you like them
