Chainsaw tensioner unwinds

I've noticed the tensioning ratchet on my cordless chainsaw rotates during use and loosens the chain. Anyone know what causes this and how to prevent it?

Telling us the brand and model might get a good answer.

If the bar is moving have you tightened the clamping nut with the folding handle properly?

Have had the same problem, simple to solve put some blu-tac in with the screw, tends to stop the darn thing coming loose

maybe a dab of hot glue on the thread would work as well, easy enough to get off as well.

Either something is wrong with the blade attachment area or you are doing it wrong.
The spacers fitted either side of the blade need to be the right way around.
The clamping block/side cover needs to sit flat against the blade AND motor.
Those 2 bolts also need to be TIGHT.
The adjusting screw will rattle around a tiny bit but thats normal because it's the blade thats clamped inside the blade.
EVERYTHING in that area needs to be clean when assembled
The chain stretches with normal usage but will stretch a lot if abused.
They also wear badly if theres no chain bar oil in the tank.
