Hey there! I totally feel your pain when it comes to dealing with bird crap. It's not only unsightly, but it can also be quite difficult to remove. But don't worry, there are a few things you can do to get rid of those pesky blackbirds and keep your fence looking pristine.

Let's start with the first problem - how to stop blackbirds digging in your lawn. Blackbirds are notorious for digging up lawns in search of worms and other insects. One of the most effective ways to deter them is to make your lawn less hospitable. This can be done by regularly aerating your lawn and removing any thatch or debris. You can also try using a bird repellent spray or installing bird spikes in areas where the birds like to congregate.

Now, onto the second problem - the bird crap on your fence. Unfortunately, bird droppings can be quite stubborn and difficult to remove, especially if they've been there for a while. While a pressure washer can be effective in some cases, it may not be enough to get rid of all the staining.

One thing you can try is using a mixture of water and vinegar. Simply mix equal parts water and vinegar in a spray bottle and apply it to the affected areas of the fence. Let it sit for a few minutes, then use a scrub brush or sponge to gently scrub away the staining. Rinse the fence with water when you're done.

Another option is to use a commercial bird dropping remover. These products are specifically designed to break down the proteins in bird droppings and make them easier to remove. Simply follow the instructions on the label and apply the product to the affected areas of the fence. Let it sit for the recommended amount of time, then use a scrub brush or sponge to gently scrub away the staining.

Last but not least, let's talk about how to get rid of pukekos. These large, blue birds can be quite destructive to gardens and lawns. One effective way to deter them is to install netting or fencing around your garden. You can also try using bird repellent sprays or decoys, such as fake owls or snakes, to scare them away.

In conclusion, dealing with bird problems can be frustrating, but there are solutions out there. By taking a proactive approach and using a combination of deterrence methods and stain removal techniques, you can keep your lawn and fence looking great. Good luck!

Leave it. The sun will dry it, and it will crumble away

Why would you use a moss killer to put on birdshit? I’d give it a scrub with a wire brush

Once you get rid of it, “Bye bye birdie” works quite well to keep them away, but it’s very messy if you get your hands on it

hi golf driver what is this product bye bye birdie?

golfdiver, Dec 4, 4:57pm
It comes in a caulking gun tube and it’s like grease infused with lanolin. You put it along the top of the fence, roof, aerial, etc (wherever birds sit) and if they land on it it burns their feet a little. There is another product similar called “hot foot” . Both cost quite a bit but are reasonably successful

Cover the soil with stones, or shade cloth, that will allow water thorough.

Why don't you try putting a dish of water out for the Pukeko, away from the paths?

Op, you won't need to go to the trouble of a 'live' wire along your fence, simply stringing a wire or ahem string a little above the fence will stop them being able to sit on fence & therefore no mess. Sometimes people just need to adapt a bit.
