Lol - and our mulberry tree is dropping fruit by the kilo . Obv hedgehogs and/or rats aren't partial to them . and the birds like the PYO. Yep, all good here Sam, thanks. You too?

Yeah these temperatures don’t get recorded or forecast on metservice, but my gauge has regularly been over 30. Dunno where they put their met gear. somewhere dry and warm in winter, and somewhere cool and shaded in summer.

Is your temperature gauge out of the sun? The temperatures the met service records are air temperatures, they are taken in the shade so as to not record radiated heat.

not in direct sun no. I think they need to update their “feels like†forecasts by 5-7 degrees. Actual air temp. 23 degrees. “feels like hellâ€.

I used to live at Ruby Bay & I know how high the temps could get over your way . did you get the wonderful rain that those of us further south in Nth Canterbury got?

It has been pretty hot lately. I've just added mulch around all of my tomato and pepper plants as the soil is drying out that fast.
