Concrete path - paving or cement paint?

Hi, Can anyone explain the difference? We want to repaint our path. Was previously painted with a taubmans product that is no longer available. We want to go non slip - but do not like the grit that goes in the paving paints - so would cement paint be a better option? Would be interested to know. Thanks.

cement paint would be better applied direct onto new concrete, would not wear well on any other surface, that has been painted over

Thanks - have you used these guys before?

I used their paint to paint 3 concrete water tanks that had a rough cast finish. I water blasted first.

Easily done using a really shaggy roller.

I accurately weighed out batches of of cement, oxide and water to make about 10l at a time. It was just starting to go off as I got to the end of each batch.
