One ES socket won't allow a heat lamp to be screwed in but will accept a smaller 100 w bulb. It's going to be a beggar to replace the socket. Any bright ideas?

the thread on your heat lamp bulb may be stuffed - have you tried swapping them about?

yes ryanm2, other heat lamps won't screw in. What happens the lamps start to screw and then pop out before fully tightening

Sorted. Socket was bent out of line
