Get a differnet mat. The MIL has a really good one that is not slippery when wet

Agree. Thought it would be obvious.

If this is your own home, a more hygenic remedy than another mat could be your consideration of resurfacing

try http://www.mendabath.co.nz/bath_resurfacing.htm
then down at the bottom of that page " click here to find an office in your area

Please select??? in home resurfacing??? which should lead you to a rep in your own area

hoping this link works

you can get non slip stripes rather than a whole mat.
Their also used for steps, and to stop mats from moving.
Had to use them, after i ended up backwards over the bath edge

I have this and find that if I scrub the bath with JIF each week, it takes away a lot of the slippery soap scum.also have a non-slip gel mat which helps a lot while in there
