Hardiest rose

I got 2 roses in the winter and planted them. 1 was compassion and the other was called freesia. I also have other roses. 2 of my other roses, dame te ata and love me do, got really bad blackspot, compassion got hit by the blackspot as well, but the freesia 1, not a bit of blackspot on it. Myroses are fine now thanks to shield. So if you want a really hardy rose freesia is the 1, and it smells just like a freesia and is a really good picking rose that looks pretty as.

We have been here nearly four years and my husband found a lovely yellow rose climbing in the trees ((it is an old garden) it is flowering beautifully and I think it must be Freessia as it had looked after itself very well and you are right, it is a gorgeous rosé.

If it is climbing a tree, it is not Freesia, as Freesia only comes in bush form.

Could be Graham Thomas: an Austin rose, marvelous perfume, and tough!
