Sharing green-bins:Yee-ha!

Wow! we're having lovely times using neighbour's green bins, with their permission, and doing lots of sharing. Now we have a new drive-sharer.New renter sharing our drive is a young Indian doctor. Will be over to him with some baking, discuss bin-sharing,,and will be so grateful if he can share some Indian recipes with me.I'll respond in kind, with Kiwi/Irish food.Oooh,I love racial mix-up in an established suburb!

Why not use your own, each house gets one.

Because our standard-sized green bin is Way too small for our lush 1/4-acre+ section, and we don't like putting organics in the rubbish.Neighbours have their green bins barely half-full on collection day,so it makes sense.

Well I think its nice to share if your neighbours arent using space in theirs. Even better if you reward their kindness by dropping off some baking or something from the vege garden =)

Just make sure he's not Sri Lankan, they really hate being called Indian.

Why not compost - saves 2 ways.
