How soon after the flowers are finished looking their best should they be dead headed! Thanks.

As soon as the flowers disappear and before the seed pods get blown everywhere. Or to be safe chop them offas soon as they have finished looking their best. You will be doing the neighbourhood a favour

If you leave them on, the plants will put their energy into making seeds rather than more flowers
