Carrots and lillies turning orange

Have heaps of orange lillies in our garden now that used to be other coulers. Do they change colour! Why! Also have carrots that have forked.Somewith three.Any suggestions.

can't explain the lilies.what sort of lilies are they.calla, canna, oriental.any clue.perhaps a photo.

As for carrots.they fork if the ground is too hard or has bits of rubbish in it like stones, or wood .carrots need fine tilth.as it is growing, if it meets an obstacle it will split to go around it.

If you transplant carrots they will fork as well

Did you plant tiger lillies!A lady I work with had a beautiful collection of lillies until she planted tiger lillies and she said her other lillies changed colour to orange.
Carrots can fork because of ground that is stony,not dug over well and transplanted or maybe too much fertilizer.

If you had tiger lilles in your garden previously, they seed like mad, so perhaps they have taken over.
As for the carrots, well they like the ground to be dug over to a good depth and do not needadded compost.

Thanks for your tips. Perhaps the garden was too rich for carrots. Thought perhaps soil was lacking for lillies
