What nails would you use for fascia board?

Hi guys,

Have an old woodshed that needs its 60+ year old fascia, barge board & spouting replaced. I have 75mm exterior grade paslode fencing nails and are thinking using a nailgun would be most efficient due to working at height.

Fascia looks to be 180x29

What size nails would you recommend? 60mm galv jolt head? (Inland so salt spray not an issue)

Thanks

Sounds fine. Wait, when you say "exterior grade" you do mean gala don't you? Brights will streak rusty leachate down the barge boards

65mm gal nails or screws would be fine,ss would be the ultimate,if thebuilding is old screwsmaybe a better choice as they bite better

Use your galv gun nails, they will be fine. It is only a woodshed. A dab of oil based paint on the heads after installation wouldnt hurt.

I have paslode branded nails with green coated tips left over from fence palings - would have thought they were exterior grade galv? Would they work?

Thanks everyone for the helpful advice
