I have a house in Christchurch and had cracks fixed and walls repainted 3 years ago. Last years February earthquake reopened most cracks so I’ve decided to do repairs myself. I’ve had a go in one room and made a good repair that even wife is impressed! Before I go on and fix rest of rooms wondering whether papering the sides that are more prone to cracking will make a difference in the event of another quake. Don’t want to put in effort if result will be waste of time . This may be a stupid question but any comments welcome, cheers

There is fibreglass wallpaper that can be painted. It is stronger. It is commercial grade and comes in 1500mm wide and 10 or 50m rolls

The wallpaper should cover 'hairline' cracks but wont hide new cracks if a few millimetres wide.
