Copper light shades

I am refinishing black light shades for the center of the room,(3 in total) with a copper finish with patina.
I have completed the outside of the light shades and am considering doing the inside as well but am a bit concerned that I may lose brightness in the process. All other lights in this room are mood wall lights so not much light emanating from them except for reading

They would look nicer if all copper but we have to be able to see! They are white on the interior at the moment

I guess everybody is at lunch. I would love to know so I can start on the insides if need be. Impatient, I know!

You will definitely lose brightness by going from white to patina'd copper.

Agree, however could you add some LED ceiling lights to help with illumination? (Halogen being costly to run)

Yes that is a good idea. Thanks. I have been looking in the shops today and copper inside the shade certainly diffuses the light a lot:( Pity, as I love the look

Just do it if you like it. You could add higher wattage bulbs or I know down light bulbs have silver reflective paint on their upper half to help get the light going downwards. I like a copper look too. What products are you using to do it?

Thanks.I am using spray on copper and aging it various ways.
