Has anyone purchased one of these, if so, how do you rate it? Considering purchasing one but would like some feed back if possible.

Thank you

Is that the homebrand?

50 Hr Chinese motor

Thanks for responding exwesty, not sure. Have just seen it in the brochure will go in today to check it out. Could be just that, Qualcut with 43cc 2 stoke motor. Have not heard of anyone having purchased one yet but they seem to sell out quite quickly when advertised.

Ask them where it is made?
Also ask about repairs and spare parts.

The CGA will apply when it doesn't work in 18 months, I have a 20 year old Echo petrol line trimmer that is used regularly.
How often do you intend to use it?

These are just crap. Had one bought off a seller on here in PN. Leaked petrol, constantly out of tune, oiler on saw not working, really noisy and unbalanced, and plastic handles breaking. Pay for what you get, in all honesty think ahead 10 years and it may be worth buying a quality one instead.

I had a Qualcut one, it was an absolute pig. Spent more time being at the service shop under warranty than being used. Spat the dummy after 9 months and got a refund

Have just bought a shindaiwa combi unit, only have the hedge trimmer attachment at the moment will get the line trimmer and pole pruning saw next.
Looks well made, easy start and plenty of power. Shindaiwa have good reviews online with a lot of pro guys using it now. Not cheap but cheaper than stihl.

I agree with not buying that junk. been there. but the thing is, while it's always good to have the very best, to be sensible you have to make sure you're going to be using it enough to justify the not insignificant financial outlay of those high end pro models. It's a lot to have up to and over a grand in some cases tied up in a machine that the home handyman might only use a few times a year. The good news is, there are plenty of mid range machines, much better than the mitre 10 crap, but not as dear as a full on pro machine. Echo make some really nice mid range stuff. Your local small engine shop will see you right with getting something according to your needs, both price and usage wise.

Thanks for feedback. What price range for the Shindaiwa? Like the idea of the multi attachments. Are they readily available and which company markets them? Thanks
