Have about 12 big fat caterpillars that have devoured our swan plants, read about the pumpkin thing that says to slice thinly and place in a deep container (with the caterpillars obviously) Just wondering, will the caterpillars crawl away themselves when it's time for them to form chrysalis'!

I gave pumpkin.I ended up with badly deformed butterfies though.Can you get more plants and maybe keep them in a pot inside.! We did that one year.
