Thanks guys - some interesting ideas here - we will try the janola first. Getting it on will be a challenge, it's over a carport and is sloping.

Use a fine mist spray (like the weed sprayer I used) and make a few light passes over the roof rather than just going for 1 major hit, or even do it over 2-3 dry days.The 'cheap bleach' is usually a stronger solution than janola, check the labels.

Have used W & F but switched to the Kiwicare brand from the W/H. Fraction of the price and has the same active ingredients so really are comparing apples with apples.

Consumer did tests/reports a year or 2 ago and stated that theyre all the same and the only difference is the price Spray and Walk away from Bunnings is the cheapest .

Go online and have a look at SPIK AND SPAN so much cheaper and far superior. You have to order direct ,and good service.

read the label closely on kiwicare products. They seem to have a habit of describing their products as "concentrate" but compare ai's (active ingredients) and they're always 1/2 strength at best!
