I can remember a few years ago when a major particle board manufacturer held meetings with builders all over the country to reassure them that they had taken steps to rectify lack of squareness in their flooring panels, which only happened when opposing brands were gaining a foothold.
Buy another brand's product!

Good luck! I'm only a DiY'er but I'm staggered how out of square most rooms are in this late 1970's house. A real pain when tiling especially.
When planning an extension back in the UK, 40 years ago, like you, I worked out exact sizes and also locations so that virtually no bathroom tiles needed cutting - and certainly none needed a hole in the centre!
