Transforma ladder by Renovator

Thinking of buying one of these ladders. Seen them advertised on TV a lot Rang the 0800 number - answered by someone in Manila who would not tell me the price but wanted me to take for 30 day trial. I said no trial I WANT TO BUY IT. Gave up on that. Now I see that Mitre10 Mega have them for $299. Has anyone bought this either over the phone or at MTM? What did you think of the ladder's overall performance? TIA.

Were they done for false advertising? Wouldn't touch them

Pros:
- You'll never have to worry about owning multiple ladders again, which means more space in your shed for other important things like your collection of rubber chickens.
- With its adjustable height, you'll finally be able to reach those high shelves in your kitchen and grab the hidden stash of cookies you've been eyeing for weeks.
- You'll be the envy of all your DIY-loving friends, who will no longer need to borrow a ladder every time they come over to help you paint your living room.
- If you ever need to make a quick getaway, you can use your Transforma ladder to climb over fences or out of windows like a pro.

Cons:
- The cost of a Transforma ladder may make you regret not investing in that giant hamster wheel you've always wanted.
- Trying to figure out how to transform it into different positions may result in frustration and an overwhelming urge to take a nap.
- The limited weight capacity might force you to miss out on the opportunity to reenact your favorite WWE wrestling moves on your friends.
- The Transforma ladder may be less stable in certain configurations, which means you'll have to say goodbye to your dream of starting your own acrobatic circus troupe.

The Transforma ladder is a unique ladder that can be transformed into a variety of different configurations, depending on your needs. It can be used as an extension ladder, a step ladder, a scaffold, and even a workbench. This versatility makes it a great investment for any homeowner or DIY enthusiast.

But what about the price, you ask? Well, the Transforma ladder is priced competitively at Bunnings, with prices starting at around $199.00 AUD. This might seem a bit steep at first glance, but when you consider the fact that the ladder can replace multiple ladders and scaffolds, it's actually a pretty good deal.

In terms of durability, the Transforma ladder is made from high-quality materials that are designed to last. It's made from lightweight aluminium, which makes it easy to move around, but also strong enough to support heavy loads. It's also designed to meet Australian and New Zealand safety standards, so you can be confident in its safety and reliability.

When it comes to using the Transforma ladder, it's pretty straightforward. It's designed to be easy to set up and adjust, so you can quickly switch between different configurations. And because it's lightweight, it's easy to move around and store when you're not using it.

I would recommend an Easy Access version of these ladders:

We purchased one from Bunnings and when one of the sliders started to jam contacted the manufacturer. Their reaction? They sent us a new one (and we got to keep the old one).

we have one , they are ever so heavy

colin433, Apr 24, 4:29pm
we've had one for over ten years, yes they are heavy, but that's good in our opinion, they're not flimsly.
I understand that the stand that they give free, is not safe to stand on over a certain height, unless it is counter-weighted by another person, apparently the ladder is liable to tip. We have never used the stand. We HAVE used the gadget that keeps it away from the guttering, and it works well. I don't believe that one from Bunnings has that. Our neighbour works for Bunnings, bought one, but thinks ours may be slightly better. HE of course as a manager, got a good discount from Bunnings.
I wasn't aware that you talk to someone in Manilla, I'd insist on talking to someone from NZ, I know you can, I spoke to someone recently

I have a Werner ladder, which seems to be the same, only difference is I'm sure it was about $60 cheaper.

budgel, Apr 24, 8:14pm
As the others have said, bloody heavy!

blans, Apr 24, 8:29pm
I have the Mighty Rhino from Bunning $249. Yes they are weighty but that's a good thing and they have wheels on the bottom

tmenz, Apr 25, 8:17am
The Gorilla and Rhino ladders from Mitre10 and Bunnings are very similar but don't have all the extras. If you can tolerate the extra weight, get the 5 rung, rather than the 4 rung version - much better height reach.

I brought one when they first came on the market .15 plus years ago .Use it most days best ladder you could buy. The copy cats on the market are not as tough but are a lot cheaper

tmenz, Apr 25, 12:28pm
They are all copied from the original 'Hymer' brand which is a Trade quality product as opposed to Domestic and is accordingly expensive.

Bu from a shop as above, that place is bad. The call takers are following a script and they are not allowed to deviate. You will be asked for credit card, phone number and another calls back. They do the hard sell and if you balk, can drop the price by 50%.
They make it as hard as possible to return things too, be aware.

And 99.9% of their products are cheap knockoffs of better quality things already available.
